RESOURCES REQUIRED TO LEARN TRICKS

The following resources are required to learn Tricks: Star Shards and three types of Cosmic Cards (Vigor, Fury, and Wisdom). You can obtain these resources during the Black Friday sale, and later they will become available in various game modes, events, and special offers.

 

   

 

HOW TO LEARN A TRICK

Just like pets themselves, Tricks can be classified as Attack or Defense types, and they will activate in the Attacking or Defending Team, respectively.

  • To begin learning Tricks, open the main window for any pet and tap this icon:

  • An upgrade tree will appear. You will need to learn some intermediate skills before reaching the available Tricks.
    Star Shards are the main resource used for learning:

 
 

  • Intermediate skills increase a pet's Attack, Defense and Health.

  • After all necessary intermediate skills are learned, Tricks and their Aspects finally become available.
    Cosmic Cards are the main resource used for learning:

   

 

Tricks

  • Right now, there are three Attack Tricks and three Defense Tricks available, each with various Aspects.
    • Tricks activate passively at the start of the pet owner's turn
    • Each Trick has an activation chance
    • Activation chance increases with Trick and Aspect upgrades
    • If a pet knows multiple Tricks, the one that activates at the start of the pet owner's turn is chosen randomly

Aspects

  • Every Trick has four types of Aspects, each boosting the Trick in a specific way.

    NOTE!
    Aspects can be changed at any time to fine-tune your Hero team's capabilities and battle potential.

  • At the following learning stage, you can choose a fourth Aspect for one of the Tricks.
    This balanced Aspect allows you to boost one of the already learned Tricks, focusing on your favorite Trick to make it even more powerful.

  • NOTE!
    Learning every Trick and Aspect is no small feat, but if you reach this point, be patient — more upgrades will become available in future updates!

 

ATTACK TRICKS

Trick I
Magic Arrow

  • Deals damage to a random opponent.

Aspect I

  • There is a chance to launch an extra arrow.

Aspect II

  • Arrow applies an effect that absorbs incoming healing for several rounds
  • This effect cannot be removed

Aspect III

  • Arrow deals damage to all enemies in a 3x3 area

Aspect IV

  • Arrow has a chance to stun the enemy

Trick II
Enchanted Rune

  • Enchants 1 rune of the pet owner's element
  • When matched, this rune deals additional pure damage

Aspect I

  • There is a chance to enchant one additional rune

Aspect II

  • Enchanted Rune grants additional mana

Aspect III

  • Enchanted Rune doesn't grant mana to the enemy and burns some mana from them

Aspect IV

  • Enchanted Rune is matched automatically after appearing
  • This match does not end the current round

Trick III
Missile Launcher

  • Turns 1 random rune into a missile
  • When activated, launches all runes in a single line or column depending on the missile direction

Aspect I

  • There is a chance to spawn a double missile that launches all runes in both directions, line and column

Aspect II

  • All runes launched by the missile deal additional damage

Aspect III

  • There is a chance that activating the missile will launch additional projectiles towards random obstacles on the battlefield

Aspect IV

  • Doubles the number of runes launched by a missile
  • These extra runes deal damage to enemies and obstacles, but do not provide any mana



 

DEFENSE TRICKS

Trick I
Healing Ray

  • Restores Health to the pet owner.

Aspect I

  • Healing Ray removes all negative effects and provides a chance to dodge enemy Special Skills for several rounds

Aspect II

  • Healing Ray restores additional Health for several rounds

Aspect III

  • There is a chance that the Healing Ray will apply an invulnerability effect to the pet owner for several rounds

Aspect IV

  • There is a chance that the Healing Ray will activate for all allies standing in the same line with the pet owner

Trick II
Unearthly Rage

  • Infuses a tile on the battlefield with rage. Heroes standing in this tile receive an attack bonus
  • Unearthly Rage lasts for several rounds

Aspect I

  • Heroes standing in the rage-infused tile receive additional damage to standard attacks

Aspect II

  • Special Skills used by Heroes standing in the rage-infused tile ignore a portion of the enemies' defense

Aspect III

  • There is a chance to create additional rage-infused tiles

Aspect IV

  • Decreases Heroes' turn count: they begin to move and attack more frequently

Trick III
Absorbing Crystal

  • Summons an Absorbing Crystal on the battlefield
  • Absorbing Crystal can be damaged only by runes
  • Runes that hit the crystal do not grant any mana

Aspect I

  • Every round Absorbing Crystal is repaired for certain amount of Health

Aspect II

  • Every round, Absorbing Crystal deals damage to a random enemy and blocks this enemy from gaining mana for several rounds

Aspect III

  • Every time an Absorbing Crystal is damaged, it restores some Health to allied Heroes in a 3x3 area around itself

Aspect IV

  • Absorbing Crystal has more Health

  • Fully upgraded books will provide the following bonuses:

  • At the start of each round, there is a 21% chance to restore 700 Health to the pet owner

Inspiration

  • +910 Defense
  • +210 Health
  • +280 Concentration
  • At the start of each round, there is a 28% chance to increase the pet owner’s Attack by 500 until the end of the battle. Can stack up to 5 times

Bulwark

  • +910 Defense
  • +210 Health
  • +7% Magic Penetration
  • At the start of each round, there is a 28% chance to increase the pet owner’s Defense by 500 until the end of the battle. Can stack up to 5 times

Bonding

  • +910 Defense
  • +490 Attack
  • +140 Health
  • +350 Concentration
  • +350 Resistance
  • Pet Special Skill has a 18.2% chance to activate another allied pet

 

HOW TO OBTAIN BOOKS?

  • Books and pages can be found during special Archipelago events.
  • The first special event starts on December 30!
     

HOW TO STUDY BOOKS?

  • By participating in the special events you can find either whole books or pages used to create a book.

HOW TO UPGRADE BOOKS?

  • Please note that the Pet Tricks window visuals have been adjusted.

    - Pet Tricks trees, their types, and Aspects remain the same.
    - Already performed upgrades are also saved.

  • There is a special button available at the center of the window; tap it to enter the book activation and upgrade menu!

  • Book upgrades require the following resources:

ATTENTION! You can upgrade a book even if it is not currently active!

 

STAR UPGRADE

  • Every time you study a Trick or an Aspect, the book receives 1 Star Upgrade. All previously performed upgrades will grant Star Upgrades retroactively.
  • Each Star Upgrade increases book bonuses and book activation chance by 5%.
  • When studying, every book is already upgraded by 5% (1*).
  • A total of 7 upgrades can be performed with Tricks and Aspects (the final bonus will be +40%).
  • Upgrades are applied to all books that a pet has.

 

CAN A PET HAVE MORE THAN ONE TYPE OF BOOK?

  • Yes, a pet can have more than one type of book.

    - Each book requires its own upgrades.
    - Only one book can be active at a time.
    - Only the active book grants bonuses and can trigger during a battle.

CAN I GIVE A STUDIED BOOK TO ANOTHER PET?

  • No, every book is activated and bound to a single pet permanently.

 

CAN I MOVE A BOOK TO ANOTHER TREE?

  • No, if the pet is of the Balanced type, the studied book remains in a single tree.

 

WHERE ARE THE BOOKS STORED?

  • You can see the books you have by checking the Pier Storage.
