An exciting expedition to the Mysterious Archipelago has begun! A lot of new activities await:
Develop a new location in your Kingdom — Pier
Build and command your own naval fleet
Explore the Mysterious Archipelago, extract valuable resources, and board other players' ships to steal their loot!
Tame pets — new faithful companions that will aid your Heroes in battles!
Read on for all the details!
A new location is now available across all Kingdoms — Pier. You can enter it by tapping the ship to the left of your castle. The ship becomes available to all players who have reached account level 69 and successfully completed level 170 of the Campaign mode.
PIER
The following buildings are available on the Pier map:
Admiralty
Level it up to unlock new buildings and increase the number of ships you can command
Lumber Mill
Produces Lumber required for upgrading and repairing the ships
Pet Farm
Here you can train your pets
Incubator
Here you can hatch an egg to receive pet shards and feathers for pet ascension. Eggs themselves can be found during numerous Expeditions
NOTE!Construction and leveling up of buildings can be sped up using various boosters.
SHIPS
There are two types of ships available: Gathering Ships and Combat Ships.
Gathering Ship
This type of ship is used for exploring the Archipelago and extracting a unique resource — Elixir, which is required for training pets.
Gathering Ships have the following stats:
Hull Durability increases ship Health
Cargo Hold determines how much Elixir can be extracted from the Elixir Source
Cannon Power determines the damage that will be dealt to attacking ships
Unloading Speed determines the speed of unloading the goods at the Pier
Gathering Speed determines the speed of extracting Elixir from its source
Looting Resilience decreases the amount of Elixir that is stolen during an attack
All these stats can be upgraded by tapping the corresponding button and spending a certain amount of Lumber.
The ship requires a crew of Heroes that is selected from your own roster. The crew defends the ship from enemy players' attacks, while the Power of each Hero increases the ship's Hull Durability and decreases the amount of Elixir that might get stolen during an attack.
Combat Ship
This type of ship is used to attack the Gathering Ships of other players and steal their precious loot!
This ship also requires a crew of Heroes that you currently have at your disposal. Hero Power will increase the ship's Hull Durability as well as the amount of Elixir that can be looted.
Combat Ships have the following stats:
Hull Durability
Cannon Power
Cargo Hold
Unloading Speed
Looting Bonus increases the amount of Elixir that is stolen during an attack
All these stats can be upgraded by tapping the corresponding button and spending a certain amount of Lumber.
NOTE!Upgrading times can be reduced using various boosters.
MYSTERIOUS ARCHIPELAGO
Now that we know everything about ships, we can embark on voyages!
Please note the Map icon available at the bottom of the screen. Tap it to open the map of the Archipelago.
There are two types of territories available: Elixir Source and Expeditions.
Elixir Source
Finding an Elixir Source will reveal a new map where special rules apply. Elixir Sources vary depending on the following:
Elixir reserves
Number of players that have access to the source
Number of ships that can be sent to the source
Please note the following important details:
Elixir Sources are available for a limited time. After the timer expires, you will need to wait for a while until a new source becomes available
The Elixir Source is no longer available after all Elixir has been extracted from it
Progressing through the Captain's Path will unlock more Elixir Sources
Tap the Send out Ship button to select how much time you would like to spend gathering the Elixir.
After the ship completes the voyage, it automatically returns to the Pier and cargo hold unloading begins. You can't perform any actions with this ship until the unloading is finished. NOTE!Elixir gathering and unloading times can be reduced using various boosters.
The newly discovered riches of the Archipelago have already attracted everyone's attention, which means that your ships might be easily attacked and looted by other players. But this works both ways: you can also attack and loot other players' ships!
To attack a ship, tap it and send a boarding team.
This will initiate a PVP battle against the team assigned to the boarded ship. The number of potentially looted Elixir depends on the following:
Amount of Elixir currently stored in the boarded ship's cargo hold
Number of Heroes you managed to defeat on the boarded ship
Looting Bonus and Looting Resilience ship stats
NOTE! After the battle is over, your Combat Ship automatically returns to the Pier and loot unloading begins. There are a couple more details to mention:
Both Gathering and Combat Ships lose some Hull Durability after the battle
If Hull Durability drops below 65%, the ship's gathering and unloading speeds decrease
If Hull Durability drops below 10%, the ship is considered severely damaged and is immediately moved back to the Pier. All loot is lost and is transferred to the ship of the attacking player. The amount of loot cannot exceed the cargo hold limits, though.
Expeditions
The second type of territories you will encounter is called Expeditions.
Send your pets on various Expeditions and they might return with valuable eggs. Hatch those eggs at the Incubator to receive pet shards and feathers.
NOTE!All players will get their very first pet during the Archipelago tutorial.
Captain's Path
To unlock new Archipelago territories, you will need to level up the Captain's Path. Access the path by tapping a corresponding button in the upper left corner.
The further you progress through the Captain's Path, the more rewards will become available. Please note that the Captain's Path progress is reset at the end of each season.
To progress through the Captain's Path, you need to earn Captain Points, which are rewarded for training your pets with Elixir.
PETS
Only Heroes that have reached level 160 and a star ranking of 7 can tame a pet. Not only do pets increase the basic stats of the Hero, but they also grant one of the following unique ones:
Starting mana grants Heroes some mana at the start of a battle
Resistance decreases the chance of being affected by enemies' negative effects
Concentration increases the chance of applying a negative effect on an enemy
Resistance and Concentration work together, and here’s how it plays out in the game. Resistance reduces the chance of a negative effect (debuff) being applied to your character. By default, without any resistance, the chance of a debuff landing is 100%. Concentration is the opposite stat, increasing the chance of successfully applying debuffs, even if the target has resistance. Both stats have absolute values and interact based on the following formula: The chance of applying a Debuff = 1 - (Target’s Resistance - Attacker’s Concentration) / 100. Important: the debuff application chance cannot drop below 10% or exceed 100%, no matter the calculation.
Examples: Resistance = 0, Concentration= 0 The chance of applying a Debuff = 1 (or 100%)
Resistance= 0, Concentration= 100 The chance of applying a Debuff = 1 - (0 - 100) / 100 = 2 (or 200%) → capped at 100%
Resistance = 100, Concentration = 0 The chance of applying a Debuff = 1 - (100 - 0) / 100 = 0 (or 0%) → capped at 10%
Resistance = 70, Concentration= 100 The chance of applying a Debuff = 1 - (70 - 100) / 100 = 1.3 (or 130%) → capped at 100%

Pets need to be tamed first in order to help your Heroes in battles. For this, tap the Heroes icon and select someone of appropriate level from your roster.
Each Hero can tame up to 2 pets: one for when the Hero is part of an Attacking Team, and one for when the Hero is part of a Defending Team. There are two special slots available in the Hero window now just for that.
NOTE!There is no limit to how many times a Hero can tame a pet, but should you decide that an already tamed pet is better off with another Hero, you will need a special resource called Magic Bone. Dismissing a Hero will return any of their tamed pets automatically.
Pet training
To increase the pet's star ranking and make their abilities stronger, tap the Pets button at the bottom of the screen and select a pet. Here you will need to spend certain types of resources: Feather of Ascension, Feather of Empowerment, Feather of Awakening, and pet shards. All these can be gathered from eggs that were found during Archipelago Expeditions.
To increase the pet's level, head to the Pet Farm located at the Pier. Here you will need to spend Elixir, extracted from the Elixir Source or looted from other players' ships. Just as a reminder: leveling up a pet also rewards you with Captain Points that help progress through the Captain's Path.
NOTE!Pet upgrading time can be reduced using various boosters.

- since Attack and Defense pets are upgraded separately, they provide different bonuses to the Hero who tamed them. So there is a new button to see the Hero's Power in either Attacking or Defending Teams
- Since attacking and defensive pets are pumped up separately, when tamed, each of them has a different effect on the hero’s strength in attack and defense. Using this button you can see the hero power in the corresponding units:
Tamed pets and the current number of pet shards can be seen in the new Pets tab. Trainers are now shown in the tab called Shards:
The Hero catalogue now also has a list of all pets available in the game. A new button allows switching between the Hero and Pet lists.:
