Even though Hero skins appeared in the game only recently, we have received lots of positive feedback about this new game mechanic, both in general and as a great way to enhance the visuals and stats of Heroes.
There was, however, one drawback: these Hero skins could not be modified, so players' inventories started to clog up with numerous duplicates that couldn't be used.
After carefully analyzing the current balance of Heroes, we are proud to announce a Hero skin upgrade system that will help tweak the Heroes' powers and abilities even further!
NEW RESOURCES
Players will now be able to obtain new types of resources during various events: Hero skin shards, Shimmering Rubies, and Rainbow Sapphires.
These resources are required to upgrade Hero skins.
ATTENTION!

Already equipped Hero skins will automatically receive the second star ranking upgrade—
. Therefore, these Hero skins will retain the bonuses they provide.
- Hero skins stored in the inventory at the time of the game update will be automatically transformed into shards, rubies, and sapphires. Spend these resources at will: create and upgrade a new Hero skin or upgrade the one you already have. The resources automatically transformed this way should be enough to create a new Hero skin and upgrade it to the second star ranking.
HERO SKINS AND STAR RANKING
Here is how Hero skin upgrades work.
There are a total of 5 star ranking upgrades, each upgrade having 5 levels. Increasing levels will enhance Hero skin stats like defense, attack, and health. Increasing star ranking provides special bonuses or enhances existing bonuses:

Basic star ranking (
) — changes the Hero's appearance in the game and enhances their stats

Second star ranking (
) — adds a special bonus

Third star ranking (
) — adds another special bonus or enhances an existing bonus

Fourth star ranking (
) — adds another special bonus or further enhances an existing bonus

Fifth star ranking (
) — adds a unique and very powerful bonus as well as one of the following unique stats:
- Absorption — decreases incoming damage
- Magic Penetration — increases damage inflicted to targets with Absorption
- Resistance — chance to ignore applied negative effects
- Concentration — increases the chance to apply negative effects on a target
- Containment — lowers the effectiveness of enemy attack and defense increase effects
- Resilience — lowers the effectiveness of enemy attack and defense decrease effects
- Resistance to any damage inflicted by an enemy of a certain element
- Increased damage inflicted on targets of a certain element
Here’s a good example:

Changes the Hero's appearance in the game and enhances their stats.
Bjorn the Galactic Defender :
At the start of each round, there is a chance to activate a Special Skill with no mana cost. The Special Skill activated this way will target the enemy with the most mana but deal only a portion of its total damage.
Bjorn the Galactic Defender :
Maximum Health is increased by X%.
Bjorn the Galactic Defender :
The Maximum Health increase effect is upgraded to Y%.
Bjorn the Galactic Defender :
The Special Skill additionally stuns the targeted enemy with full mana for several rounds.
UPGRADING HERO SKINS
To upgrade any Hero skin, open the main Hero window and tap the corresponding button in the upper left corner.
Here, you can also equip or unequip the Hero skin. This process is free of charge, and all Hero skin upgrades remain intact after unequipping.
Please note that this new button is now available for every Hero that currently has a skin in the game. Tapping the button will also provide details about how to obtain the Hero skin and its star ranking bonuses.
OBTAINING RESOURCES FOR HERO SKIN UPGRADES
A new event will start later this month, where you will be able to obtain the corresponding resources as well as a brand-new Hero skin. Make sure to follow our Discord announcements!
